Configuring and Managing the PBX
VoIP
Switching T.38 for Fax over IP On/Off
Requirements:
– External VoIP channel (COMpact 3000 VoIP or VoIP channels purchased and activated in
the Upgrade Center)
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
1. Open the page CONFIGURATION > Voice over IP (VoIP) > VoIP provider.
2. Click in the line of the corresponding VoIP provider.
The Provider configuration opens.
3. Open the page Provider configuration > Network.
4. Select or clear the Echo cancellation check box under Quality.
Further steps:
– Save your settings before you leave the page.
Switching T.38 for Fax over IP On/Off
Enabling T.38 (procedures for real-time Group 3 facsimile communication over IP networks)
makes smooth fax transmission possible.
Switching this on/off can be done as follows:
• Separately for VoIP providers
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– External VoIP channel (COMpact 3000 VoIP or VoIP channels purchased and activated in
the Upgrade Center)
– Provider support for T.38
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
– Configured internal fax subscribers
1. Open the page CONFIGURATION > Voice over IP (VoIP) > VoIP provider.
2. Click in the line of the corresponding VoIP provider.
Enables echo cancellation.
Disables echo cancellation.
