Sequence of an External Call via VoIP
An outgoing external call via VoIP is made as follows:
An internal subscriber dials an external telephone number.
The PBX checks whether the provider area code has been entered in the list of exception
telephone numbers (VoIP/GSM routing). If the telephone number is in the table, the access
configured there is used (if the telephone number has been enabled for the currently valid
configuration).
Note: The special numbers provided by the VoIP provider for checking one's
account status or dialling usually do not include a local prefix. This means
that routing via exception telephone numbers (VoIP/GSM routing) is not
possible. In order to correctly dial these telephone numbers, use the targeted
VoIP access point.
If the telephone number is not on the list of exception telephone numbers (VoIP/GSM
routing) or it is not enabled for the currently valid configuration, a check is made whether a
preferred exchange line has been configured.
Only for the COMpact 3000 ISDN or COMpact 3000 analog: If no preferred exchange line
has been configured or the preferred exchange line is a land line connection, the telephone
number is checked based on the LCR networks (if LCR is configured and activated) and
then dialled on a land line connection.
Note: For all DSL connections that are not made over a dedicated line, the
VoIP provider resets the DSL line at least once within 24 hours. This termi-
nates calls currently in progress.
