Configuring Tones
The tones indicate how tones should be transmitted from the analog network provider. This
allows the PBX to detect the tones and implement them accordingly. The following tones are
transmitted by the network provider:
Dial tone: The tone that is transmitted by the network provider when the subscriber picks
up the receiver.
Busy tone: The tone that is transmitted by the network provider when the desired
connection is busy (busy tone 1) or the network is overloaded (busy tone 2, e.g., directly
after dialling the local area code).
Call tone: The tone that is transmitted by the network provider during the calling phase.
Special interest tone: The tone that is transmitted by the network provider when the
telephone number dialled is not present and the network provider plays no special
announcement for this situation.
