Configuring and Managing the PBX
Analog Connection
Switching Busy Tone Detection (Incoming) for End of Call On/Off
This is necessary for detecting the end of the call connection and to enable the automatic hang-
up of an ISDN telephone.
Note: Deactivate this setting if interference on the external PBX line is inter-
preted as a busy signal and interrupts calls. In this case, the call needs to be
ended on the PBX by the subscriber by hanging up.
Switching this on/off can be done as follows:
Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
External analog port (only COMpact 3000 analog)
Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
Expert view (click )
Configured prefixes (country prefix and local area code)
1. Open the page CONFIGURATION > External numbers.
2. In the list field at the top, select the analog connection.
A page opens for configuring the analog connection.
3. Open the page Analogue connection > Expert configuration.
4. Select or clear the Busy signal detection (incoming calls) check box under End of
the call.
5. In the Minimum length of busy signal entry field, enter a value. The following entries

Further steps:

Disables busy tone detection. (No other action is required.)
3 to 20: The PBX must detect a busy signal sequence for 3 to 20 seconds to
end the call. The purpose of this is to prevent, for example, speech from being
interpreted as a busy signal.
