Configuring the HTTP Proxy
An HTTP proxy is a proxy for the HTTP protocol, over which Internet sites are called or files
downloaded.
The configuration can be made as follows:
Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
Expert view (click )
1. Open the page CONFIGURATION > Server configuration > Network.
2. Select or clear the HTTP proxy check box under HTTP proxy configuration.
3. In the IP address or URL entry field under HTTP proxy configuration, enter the
HTTP proxy. The following entries are possible:
4. In the Port entry field under HTTP proxy configuration, enter the associated port
number (port). The following entries are possible:
5. Select or clear the Proxy authorization check box under HTTP proxy configu-
ration.
6. Enter the user name for the authorization into the HTTP proxy in the User name entry
field under HTTP proxy configuration.
7. Enter the password for the authorization into the HTTP proxy in the Password entry
field under HTTP proxy configuration.
Further steps:
Save your settings before you leave the page.
Enables the HTTP proxy.
Disables the HTTP proxy. (No other action is required.)
IP address with a range of 0 to 255 (example: 123.123.123.123)
URL (example: www.proxyserver.de)
1 to 65535
Enables proxy authorization.
Disables proxy authorization. (No other action is required.)
