Private (Personalized) Exchange Line Access
Initiating Private Exchange Line Access without a PIN
Initiating Private Exchange Line Access without a PIN
Authorization granted specifically to the subscriber allows private exchange line access without
requiring a user PIN to be initiated on the subscriber's own telephone. The charges are billed
to the telephone used.
Requirements:
– Authorization Private exchange line access without PIN assigned to the subscriber
1. Pick up the receiver.
2. Dial ##91.
3. Enter the external telephone number. The following entries are possible:
You are making a personal call.
Switching Authorization for Private Exchange Line Access without PIN Entry On/
Off
Switching this on/off can be done as follows:
• Separately for subscribers
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
– Expert view (click )
1. Open the page PROPERTIES > Internal subscribers > Subscriber properties >
Authorizations.
2. In the list field at the top, select the subscriber in question by his name or number.
External phone number (If you do not use a direct exchange line access, dial
the exchange line access number before dialling the telephone number.)
** and short code number (If you do not use a direct exchange line access,
omit the **.)
