Online Name Search
Configuring an Exact or Approximate Search
1. Open the page FUNCTIONS > Online name search.
2. Select or clear the Online name search check box.

– Save your settings before you leave the page.
Configuring an Exact or Approximate Search
The search for the missing name can be carried out in various ways:
• exact: Search for the complete telephone number
• approximate: Search without the last four digits in the telephone number (advanced
search)
Note: Not all of the telephone numbers are saved on the server on the
Internet (e.g., extension codes for a point-to-point connection). The
corresponding telephone numbers (PBX base numbers) can be found
through an advanced search.
The configuration can be carried out as follows:
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
– Enabled online name search
1. Open the page FUNCTIONS > Online name search.
2. Select one of the following options:

Enables online name search.
Disables online name search.
exact: Executes the online name search using the complete telephone
number.
approximate: Executes the advanced online name search using a shortened
telephone number.
