Configuring the Use of the Feature via the PBX or the Network Provider
Call forwarding for external numbers can be configured via the PBX or via the network provider.
If the feature has been enabled for use via the PBX, an existing available voice channel is used
in order to forward the call. The charges for this additional connection established by the PBX
are billed to the PBX operator.
If the feature has been enabled for use via the network provider, call forwarding is carried out
by the central office. This prevents multiple numbers from being sent though call channels when
the system's own external telephone numbers are forwarded.
Note: However, the time necessary to set up the user telephone remains the
same. A longer configuration time (time until the acknowledgment) must be
taken into account.
The configuration can be made as follows:
Via the configuration manager
Enables the authorization for configuring features on the exchange line.
Disables the authorization for configuring features on the exchange line.
