Entering a Fax ID
Entering a Fax ID
The fax ID is inserted into the top line of a fax and thus permits an exact identification of the
sender.
The entry can be made as follows:
• Separately for fax boxes
• Via the configuration manager
Requirements:
– An SD card inserted in the SD card slot or a USB memory stick inserted in the USB port
– Configuration manager, opened with sufficient authorization
–For Sender name: Fax transfer function purchased and activated in the Upgrade Center
1. Open the page FUNCTIONS > Voice mail/fax boxes > Boxes.
2. Click in the line of the corresponding fax box.
3. In the Sender name entry field under Fax ID, enter the name to be inserted into the
top line of a fax along with the fax ID. The following entries are possible:
4. In the Fax ID (telephone number) entry field under Fax ID, enter the fax ID (complete
telephone number of the specific external connection). The following entries are
possible:
Note: Recipients of a fax frequently send their response to the number
entered in the header of the fax. Therefore, the number under Fax ID
(telephone number) should be one of your own connections with fax
acceptance.
