If your router has been configured as a DHCP server, the telephone auto-
matically receives its IP address, subnet mask as well as the gateway dur-
ing a DHCP request from this DHCP server. If the DHCP request takes a
few seconds, the selection manual config. is shown on the display. If the
DHCP request was successful, the menu for entering the MSN appears on
the display (continue page 16).
If your router has not been configured as a DHCP server or the DHCP re-
quest was not successful or you selected manual config. during the DHCP
request, the menu for entering the IP address of the telephone appears.
Perform the following steps.
a) Use the keypad to enter the IP address of the telephone.
Use the softkey (key next to the display) to delete the numbers one
at a time from the right.
Press the softkey (key next to the display) to enter a point when
entering an IP address.
Press the exit key to go back to the idle state at any time. The config-
uration is cancelled.
b) Press the softkey to finish the entry.
The display will show the menu for entering the subnet mask.
c) Enter the subnet mask via the keypad.
d) Press the softkey to finish the entry.
The display will show the menu for entering the gateway.
e) Use the keypad to enter the IP address of the gateway.
f) Press the softkey to finish the entry.
The display will show the menu for entering the MSN.
