INSTALL A CLOSED-CIRCUIT TELEVISION (CCTV) SYSTEM

Conditions: In a tactical or garrison environment, given cameras, monitors, VTRs, DAs, 75-ohm coaxial
cabling and connectors, cable labels or markers, blank video tapes, step ladder, camera mounts,
electronic equipment tool kit, DA Form 2407, DA Pam 738-750, system block diagrams, and equipment
manufacturers' manuals.
Standards: The standards are met when the CCTV system is installed and problems incurred are
corrected.
Performance Measures Results
1. Inventory the list of materials (LOM) for installation. P F
2. Turn ON and test operate equipment for installation. P F
3. Install cameras on wall mounts and VTRs and monitors in equipment racks. P F
4. Measure and cut cables to length. P F
5. Install connectors and labels on all cables. P F
6. Run cables. P F
7. Connect all equipment. P F
8. Test operate system. P F
9. Correct any problems. P F
10. Complete DA Form 2407 to account for work. P F
Evaluation Guidance: Score the soldier a GO if all steps are passed (P). Score the soldier a NO-GO if
any step is failed (F). If the soldier fails any step, show what was done wrong and how to do it correctly.
Have the soldier practice until he can correctly perform the task.
