l. When properly constructed and equipped, safety boards can be used to great advantage in
accident prevention and first aid. Safety boards should be placed in any area where personnel work with
dangerous voltages. Mobile facilities not utilizing safety boards should maintain required safety
equipment in a central area of the facility readily accessible to all personnel. The design will be as
follows:
(1) Safety boards will be painted white with a 2-inch green border. The board title will be white
lettering on a green, rectangular background. Lettering to designate position of board items will be in
black on the white background.
(2) Safety boards will be of sufficient size and conformation to adequately display the equipment
without clutter.
(3) Safety boards will be inspected monthly to insure that all items are available and in good
operating condition.
(4) Supervisors will determine safety equipment to be required pertinent to hazards in the work
area. As a minimum, the following equipment will be considered:
(a) Local safety instruction.
