6. Train equipment operators to perform PMCS within their authorized level of
maintenance as outlined in applicable technical manuals.

a. Operator maintenance includes: P F
(1) Cleaning, dusting, and wiping equipment. P F
(2) Checking for loose or frayed cables. P F
(3) Checking that power is connected to the equipment. P F
(4) Maintaining proper operation and levels of equipment. P F
(5) Documenting uncorrected faults and inoperative operator controls (lamps,
meters, indicators, switches, and other noticeable damaged or missing parts)
on DA Form 2404.

(6) Submitting a DA Form 2407 for equipment requiring immediate corrective
maintenance.

b. Check DA Form 2404 (refer to DA Pam 738-750) for inspection and services
completed, outstanding faults, parts required, and readiness status.

7. Inspect work orders (refer to DA Pam 738-750) and make corrections as necessary. P F
8. Report readiness status of all equipment through the chain of command. P F
9. Update or revise the maintenance SOP as necessary. P F
Evaluation Guidance: Score the soldier a GO if all steps are passed (P). Score the soldier a NO-GO if
any step is failed (F). If the soldier fails any step, show what was done wrong and how to do it correctly.
Have the soldier practice until he can correctly perform the task.
