ESTABLISH A VISUAL INFORMATION (VI) MAINTENANCE PROGRAM

Conditions: In a tactical or garrison environment, given assigned equipment and personnel, authorized
parts and materials, unit standing operating procedures (SOPs), technical manuals (TMs), DA Forms
2404, DA Form 2405, DA Forms 2407, DA Forms 2765, DD Forms 314, FAA Forms 6030-1 (or locally-
produced log forms), DA Pam 738-750, AR 750-1, and manufacturers' manuals.
Standards: The standards are met when the established maintenance program includes equipment
readiness, safety, and training that support mission goals and combat readiness.

1. Ensure the availability and usage of required supplies, equipment, and technical
publications.

2. Maintain a safe and healthy workplace. P F
a. Inspect and maintain safety boards and first-aid kits for completeness. P F
b. Maintain and review file on all equipment safety hazard data. P F
c. Inspect workstation for frayed wires, faulty switches, shorted outlets, and other
hazards; correct noncomformities.
