FM Frequency
The following Frequency Setting adjustments are possible:
NOTE: The Xpress XM7 unit has an internal wireless FM trans-
mitter, which allows you to play the audio through any standard
FM receiver, eliminating the need to hardwire connections. In
certain urban areas of the country where strong FM stations
may overpower the Xpress XM7 unit FM transmitted signal, an
FM direct adapter may be needed to achieve a clean audio
signal (Part Number XMFM-1)
FM ON or OFF Feature
This feature allows the user to turn the FM Transmitter ON or
OFF. It is recommended that you turn the FM Transmitter OFF if
you are using the low level audio outputs in your particular
application (optional cable and SAT-RCA). Upon entering the
FM Frequency mode, rotate the Rotary/Select Knob CCW until
the ‘Off’ is displayed on the screen. Press the Rotary/Select
Knob to turn the FM transmitter OFF. The UP and DOWN buttons
on the Remote Control also provide a similar function. ‘OFF’ will
appear momentarily on the screen (see Figure 7). If there is no
button activity for approximately 12-seconds the unit will exit
this function.
