SAFETY PRECAUTION For safety reasons, when changing video media, it is recommended that the vehicle is not in motion, and that you do not allow children to unfasten seat-belts to change video media or make any adjustments to the system. Enjoy your entertainment system but always remember-safety of all passengers remains the number one priority.
*NOTE: The AC power supply that comes with the VBP3900 can only suply the main unit. If an additional monitor is used, you must use the power supply that is supplied with it. B. Cautions and Warnings 1. Placement To prevent fire or electric shock, do not expose this appliance to rain or moisture. Do not place the set on an unstable cart, stand, tripod, bracket or table to prevent it from falling. Keep the unit away from strong magnets, heat sources, direct sunlight, excessive dust.

Clean the disc by wiping the disc from the center out with a cleaning cloth. Remove the disc from the unit and store it in its case after playing. Some playback operations of discs may be intentionally fixed by software producers.
2. Powering the system in the vehicle (Refer to Figure 2) Figure 2 Unzip the lower compartment of the bag and take the cigarette lighter adapter. Plug one end into the DC 12V jack on the left side of the main unit, then plug the other end into the cigarette lighter socket.
E. Installation 1. Installing the system onto the seat back in a car (Refer to Figure 3) Figure 3 1) Unfasten the velcro strap on the rear of the bag. Fold the strap into the shape of a triangle and fasten it to the bag. 2) Take one of the supplied straps from the lower compartment. Connect the latch to one of the upper metal rings on the mounting bag. Connect the “S”hook to the other upper metal ring and place the loop over the headrest. Adjust the strap until the bag is firmly secured.
2. Installing the system between the driver/passenger seat (Refer to Figure 4) Figure 4 1)Take one of the supplied straps from the lower compartment of the bag, and connect the latch to the upper side metal ring on the left side of the bag. Attach the "S" hook to the same ring after looping the strap around the headrest of the driver's seat.Repeat this process for the right side (Passenger Seat). 2)Take another strap and connect the latch to lower metal ring on the left side of the bag.
4) Unzip the bag and flip down the front flap. Ensure the retaining Velcro strap of the bag is fastened to prevent the unit from falling out. Swing the monitor upwards and adjust the screen for the desired viewing angle. 3. Installing the system on the back seat in a car (Refer to Figure 5) There is no need to remove the four straps from the bag as they are not used in this installation. Figure 5 Ensure the rear strap of the bag is attached to the upper Velcro strip on the back of the bag.

2. MENU A DVD is divided into sections called titles and chapters. When you play a DVD, a root menu of the disc will appear on the screen of your TV or Monitor. The contents of the menu vary from disc to disc. Press MENU during playing to display the menu, and press ENTER or PLAY to start playing. Some DVDs only allow you to select disc playback options using the DVD menu. 3. DISPLAY (Display contents vary from disc to disc.) 1) PLAYING TIME AND REMAINING TIME a.

Press ‘ DISPLAY’a 5th time to exit, ‘ DISPLAY OFF’ will be displayed and will disappear automatically after 3 seconds.

Angle Screen Display 3) SUBTITLE During disc playback press ‘ SUBTITLE’to select the subtitle language you desire*, with the current Subtitle Language Number (1) and the total Number of Subtitle Languages (2) displayed. If there are multiple languages press ‘ SUBTITLE’again to select another subtitle language. To turn subtitles OFF, press the ‘ SUBTITLE’button until ‘ SUBTITLE OFF’is displayed.
4) AUDIO During playback press ‘ AUDIO’to select the audio language you desire*, with the current Audio Channel Number (1) and the total number of Audio Channels (2) displayed. Press AUDIO again to select another audio language. The audio display will disappear automatically if the ‘ AUDIO’button is not pressed within for 3 seconds. Figure 14. Press the DISPLAY button on the remote to display the DISPLAY Banner. The options below show you what happens when you press the DISPLAY button. a. USING THE REPEAT FEATURE The default mode for the Repeat feature is OFF. Pressing REPEAT consecutively changes the repeat options: • TRACK- repeats the track that is playing. • ALL- repeats the disc that is playing. • Repeat OFF As you toggle through the options, the repeat option changes. The selected repeat option loops repeatedly until you turn it off. 5.
When an MP3 disc is inserted into the unit, the menu screen appears automatically. You can use the menu screen to change folders and songs. Playing JPG file 1) Loading the JPG Disc into tray. 2) Select JPG file by pressing “LEFT/RIGHT”key. 3) You can preview the JPG file by pressing “Play”or “OK”. 4) The photo will be rotated 90 C during the preview to left, If press “Left key”,Vice verse, press “Right”key. 5) When browseing the photos, you can reverse the photo horizontally by pressing “Up”key,or you can reverse the photos vertically by pressing “Left”key.
k. Press “display”11th time, “COMPRESS TO CENTER H”will display on the screen, the picture will refresh from top and bottom still to center. l. Press “display”12th time, “COMPRESS TO CENTER V”will display on the screen, the picture will refresh from right and left to center. m.Press “display”13th time, “WINDOW H”will display on the screen, the picture will refresh from four window’ s top side to bottom side. n.
G. SETUP Press ‘ SETUP’to display the Main screen of the SETUP Menu on the screen. Press ‘ SETUP’again to exit the SETUP Menu and the unit will resume it’ s last playback or player mode. Figure 28. This password is always effective even after you have selected your own password and changed it. To avoid the possibility of others using the default password to set the parental level and change the password, you can record this default password in another area and delete it from this manual.
H. Playing a Video Game Figure 41 Plug the video output from your game system into the yellow VIDEO jack and the AUDIO L and AUDIO R into the applicable jacks on the left side of the main unit.,Place the Input/Output switch to the IN Position. Adjust the volume control and the brightness control on the monitor for individual preference. I. Wired Headphone (Refer to Figure 41) Optional wired headphones may be used with the "Video In a Bag"System.
J. External Monitor 1. Using the MONITOR PORT (Refer to Figure 418 and Figure 42) This system can suport 1 additional monitor by using the cigarette lighter adapter in the vehicle. (Please contact an Audiovox dealer for the additional monitors) . (Note: The AC to DC adapter can power only the main unit ). Connect the DIN cable on the additional monitor to the MONITOR port on the left side of the main unit .
2. Using the AV outputs (Refer to Figure 8) Match the color-coded plugs to the appropriate jacks on the left side of the main unit: Yellow (VIDEO) to Yellow, White (AUDIO L) to White, and Red (AUDIO R) to Red, and switch the In/out switch to the “out”position. 3. Using S VIDEO output (Refer to Figure 8) Connect the S VIDEO jack on the left side of the main unit to the S VIDEO connector on your TV for a high quality DVD picture. K.
