OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 1 ON-OFF SWITCH 3 TONE CONTROL Press this button to turn the unit on or off. Press this button to select full tone range or decreased treble setting. 2 VOLUME CONTROL 4 LEFT/RIGHT BALANCE CONTROL To increase the volume level, press the + side of the control. To decrease the volume level, press the side of the control. Rotate this knob to the left or right to obtain the desired balance between the left and right channel speakers.
5 AM/FM BAND SELECTOR 9 LOCAL/DISTANT SELECTOR (DX/LO) Press this button to change the radio band from AM to FM. This selector switch is incorporated to allow maximum reception in both weak and strong FM signal areas. For normal reception conditions and when receiving a wide range of signals including weak or distant stations, the switch should be set to the Distant position, which will allow maximum signal to the receiver.
NOTE: The Antenna Trimmer only affects AM reception, and will have no effect on FM reception. The Trimmer only needs to be adjusted when the radio is first installed and at any time a change is made to the vehicle antenna (replacing the mast, etc.). NOTE: Never leave a cassette engaged in the player when not in use. Doing so can cause damage to the cassette and/or mechanism of the unit. Always press the eject button and remove the cassette when leaving the vehicle.
bp FRONT PANEL RELEASE KNOB DETACHING THE FRONT PANEL This knob is used to release the mechanism that holds the front panel to the chassis. To detach the front panel, press the button so that the left side of the panel is released. Grasp the released side and pull it off of the chassis. To re-attach the panel, position the right side of the panel in place first and then press the left side of the panel until the mechanism locks it into place. bp BOUTON DE DÉBLOCAGE DU PANNEAU FRONTAL AMOVIBLE Ce bouton permet de libérer le mécanisme qui maintien le panneau frontal de l'appareil a son chassis. Pour libérer le panneau, appuyer sur le bouton afin de libérer son coté gauche. Saisir ensuite ce coté libéré et retirer le panneau completement. Pour réinstaller le panneau, introduire le coté droit en premier en ensuite exercer une pression sur le coté gauche jusqu'a ce que le mécanisme de fixation se bloque.
SOINS ET ENTRETEIN LECTEUR DE CASSETTES 1. Ne pas employer de cassettes de 120 minutes (C-120). 2. Nettoyer le mécanisme de déroulement de la cassette et la tête de lecture au bout de 30 heures de fonctionnement et, en tout état de cause, au moins une fois tous les deux mois, au moyen d'une cartouche de nettoyage disponible dans le commerce. 3. Para desmontar el panel delantero, apriete el botón para soltar el lado derecho del panel. Sujete el lado suelto del panel y sáquelo del chasis.
