8 Special functions
All further programming functions can be accessed by means of a very user-friendly menu.
You will find a complete overview of the menu in Chapter 8.12.
8.1 Ring tone volume on the mobile unit
The volume of the ring tone on the mobile unit can be adjusted in five steps. If at any time
you do not want to be disturbed, you can also turn the ring tone off altogether. If the ring
tone is turned off, incoming calls will only be signalled at the base station and by means of
the display on the mobile unit.
1. Press the Menu display button.
2. Confirm Set Handset with the OK display button.
3. Confirm Ring Volume with the OK display button.
4. Select the required volume with and and confirm with the OK display button.
5. Now select further menu functions or exit the menu by pressing the button.
8.2 Setting the ring tones on the mobile unit
Your mobile unit can respond with 10 different ring tones when a call comes through. If you
are using the telephone system with several mobile units, you can set different ring tones for
external and internal calls.
1. Press the Menu display button.
2. Confirm Set Handset with the OK display button.
3. Select Ring Melody with and and confirm with OK.
4. Select the function External (ring tone for external calls) or Internal (ring tone for
internal calls/with multiple handsets only) with and and confirm with OK.
5. Select the required melody with and and confirm with OK.
6. Now select further menu functions or exit the menu by pressing the button.
