7.3 Note on the phone book
S Always enter the area access code with the phone numbers so that the
telephone can also assign incoming local calls to a phone book entry.
S If the name entered is already stored in the phone book, the message
   appears. Press the  Display button to
overwrite the phone book entry or  to change the name entered.
S When the memory capacity of the phone book is used up, the message

appears in the display on attempting to save a new entry. An entry in
the phone book must be deleted in order to create space.
S After opening the phone book, entries can be accessed directly,
alphabetically. To do this, press the button with the corresponding first letter
of the phone book entry.
S The phone book is also available for use while a call is in progress. Use the
Display button

to open the

. You can then
transfer phone numbers from the phone book to the caller.
7.4 Entering a name
The digit keys are also labelled with letters for the entry of the respective letters.
Letters, digits and special characters are entered by pressing the relevant key the
respective number of times.
Example: To enter the name Peter". Press: 1 x button ,
2 x button , 1 x button , 2 x button , 3 x button
S To enter a space, press once.
S To enter special characters, press or as often as necessary.
S To switch between input of upper and lower case letters, press the
button.
S To enter the same letter twice, press the relevant button until the letter
appears then wait till the cursor automatically skips one position forward.
S In the case of an incorrect entry, use the Navigation button to move the
cursor and delete the individual characters by pressing the

Display button.
