6.13 Temporary tone dialling
If you only operate the telephone using the Pulse dialling method (refer to Chapter
13.2), you can still make use of the advantages of the Tone dialling method
(e.g.: remote access of the answering machine).
During a call, you can temporarily switch to Tone dialling.
Press for 1 second during a call
The character
appears in the display. When the call is ended, the equipment
automatically switches back to PULSE dialling.
6.14 Chain dialling
The chain dialling function is used in more complex telephone services, e.g. for
telephone banking, call−by−call or calling card procedures. The function is used to
transfer numbers stored in the phone book (e.g. bank account number) while a call is
actually in progress. It is also possible to combine numbers for transfer from the
phone book with numbers entered manually (e.g. PIN number). The example below
explains the use of the chain dialling function in connection with a calling card
procedure.
Note: A calling card is a virtual telephone card. This telephone card contains your
secret PIN and calling card number.
