6.9 Muting the microphone in the handset
The microphone in the handset can be activated and deactivated during a telephone
conversation. You can then talk to someone else without the caller being able to hear
you. The loudspeaker in the handset remains switched on, so that you can continue
to hear the caller.


6.10 Key lock
If you carry the handset around a lot, you can lock the handset keypad so that
buttons are not inadvertently activated. Calls can still be taken in the normal way even
when the key lock function is activated.

6.11 Handset ringing melody
If you do not want to be disturbed, the handset ringing melody can be deactivated.
6.11.1 Deactivating the handset ringing melody
Press for 2 seconds
The icon appears in the display. The base station rings in the event of an incoming
call but not the handset.
6.11.2 Activating the handset ringing melody
Press for 2 seconds
The icon disappears from the display.
6.12 Notes on range
The handset has a range of approx. 50 meters indoors and approx. 300 meters
outdoors. In the case of a good connection to the base station, the icon appears
continuously in the display.
Note: If the handset is moved too far from the base station, the icon flashes
and acoustic warning signals are issued. Move towards the base station,
otherwise the call will be disconnected. If the connection between the
handset and base station has been lost, the message
