18 Troubleshooting
Should problems arise with the telephone, refer to the following information. In the
case of technical problems, contact our Hotline, tel. 0180 5 00 13 88 (Telekom costs
at time of going to print: 12 ct/min). In the case of claims under the terms of
guarantee, contact your sales outlet. There is a 2 year period of guarantee.
Faults
Corrective measures
No connection to base
station possible
Check that the handset has been registered on the
base station with the correct PIN.
No telephone calls possi-
ble
The telephone line is not connected properly or is
defective. Only use the telephone connection cable
supplied.
Test whether the telephone connection is in order
by using another telephone.
The power adapter plug is not plugged in or there is
a complete power failure.
The rechargeable standard batteries are empty or
defective.
The handset is too far from the base station.
Connection is disturbed or
cut off
The handset is too far from the base station.
The base station is in an unsuitable location.
Dialling not possible Dialling method set incorrectly (refer to Chapter
13.2).
The system no longer re-
sponds or is in an undefi-
ned state
Reset all the functions to their default status (refer
to Chapter 14.4).
Disconnect the power adapter plug briefly from the
power socket.
The charging control lamp
does not light up
Place the handset correctly in the base station,
clean the contact surfaces on the handset and the
base station with a soft, dry cloth.
The handset switches off
automatically
Place the handset in the base station for 14 hours.
If this does not help, replace the rechargeable stan-
dard batteries.
Following a charge time of
14 hours, the icon
remains unchanged in the
display
The rechargeable standard batteries are empty or
defective.
Place the handset correctly in the base station,
clean the contact surfaces on the handset and the
base station with a soft, dry cloth.
