17.10 Remote access
Remote access enables the answering machine to be contacted from any telephone
which uses tone dialling in order to listen to messages received and execute other
functions.
17.10.1 Remote access security code
The answering machine is provided with a personal identification number so only you
can listen to incoming messages via the remote access feature. The default security
code set at the factory is 000".
17.10.2 Changing the remote access security code
Proceed as follows to change the security code:
Press for 2 seconds
or , Change 1st digit and confirm
or , Change 2nd digit and confirm
or , Change 3rd digit and confirm
17.10.3 Playing back messages via remote access
Dial your own phone number
Button *, Press during the outgoing message and enter the
PIN code
Note: If an incorrect entry is made, the outgoing message is repeated. If the
security code is entered incorrectly three times, the line is automatically
disconnected.
The Options menu is played
Button 2 Play back message
Note: Other functions can be executed via the remote access system within the
following 8 seconds. Refer to the table in Chapter 17.10.4.

The functions assigned to the buttons are dependent on the mode currently activated.
The following table provides an overview of the respective functions assigned to the
individual buttons.
