− Allgemeine Hinweise − 1.5 Aufladbare Standard−Akkus Verwenden Sie die mitgelieferten aufladbaren Standard−Akkus. Verwenden Sie beim Austauschen immer nur Standard−Akkus des Typs AAA 1,2V 750 mAh. Andere Standard−Akkus oder Akkupacks können einen Kurzschluss verursachen. Werfen Sie Standard−Akkus nicht ins Feuer und tauchen Sie sie nicht ins Wasser. Entsorgen Sie alte oder defekte Standard−Akkus nicht mit dem normalen Hausmüll.
− Allgemeine Hinweise − 1.10 Temperatur und Umgebungsbedingungen Das Telefon ist für den Betrieb in geschützten Räumen mit einem Temperaturbereich von 10 °C bis 30 °C ausgelegt. Die Basisstation darf nicht in Feuchträumen wie Bad oder Waschküche aufgestellt werden. Vermeiden Sie die Nähe zu Wärmequellen wie Heizkörpern und setzen Sie das Gerät keiner direkten Sonnenbestrahlung aus. Verwenden Sie das Mobilteil nicht in explosionsgefährdeten Bereichen.

Bei jedem Tastendruck wird das Display für 10 Sekunden beleuchtet. Nach 30 Sekunden schaltet sich automatisch der Bildschirmschoner in Form einer analogen Uhr ein. Achtung: Wenn Sie an Ihrer Basisstation vier Mobilteile angemeldet haben und diese Mobilteile zukünftig anderorts an einer anderen Basisstation verwenden wollen, müssen Sie vorher eine Abmeldung an der alten Basisstation vornehmen.

Platzieren Sie die Basisstationen so, dass sich die Reichweite der einzelnen Basisstationen überschneidet (siehe Grafik II). Testen Sie gegebenenfalls die Reichweite Ihrer Mobilteile. Wenn der Anrufbeantworter den Anruf bereits entgegengenommen hat, können Sie die Aufzeichnung jederzeit mit der Displaytaste abbrechen. − Operation − 6.4 Making two calls It is possible to dial a second number while making a call. The first caller is put on hold while you converse with the second person called. You can select a phone book entry or enter a number manually using the digit keys.
− Operation − 6.9 Muting the microphone in the handset The microphone in the handset can be activated and deactivated during a telephone conversation. You can then talk to someone else without the caller being able to hear you. The loudspeaker in the handset remains switched on, so that you can continue to hear the caller. − Phone Book − 7 Phone Book There are two phone books available for use. The phone book can be used to store 100 phone numbers together with the associated names. The phone book can be used to store 20 entries. The entries in the phone book can only be accessed using the handset with which the entries were actually made. The entries in the phone book can be accessed by all the handsets registered. 7.
− Phone Book − 7.3 Dial the number Note on the phone book S Always enter the area access code with the phone numbers so that the telephone can also assign incoming local calls to a phone book entry. If this function is available with your telephone line, the number of the caller appears in the display when the phone rings. − Advanced Functions − 13.5 Prefix The prefix" function enables a number to be dialled automatically before the actual phone number. This is mainly implemented when using call−by−call numbers. Various area access codes can be assigned to a call−by−call number or you can dial the same call−by−call number before every call. In the case of calls dialled from the phone book in which the area access code stored is the same, the stored call−by−call number is, naturally, also prefixed.
− Advanced Functions − 13.7 Call barring The call barring" function can be used to inhibit all outgoing calls or those with specific access codes. The access codes to be barred can vary from handset to handset. The call barring numbers must be entered for each handset individually. Emergency numbers cannot be barred.
− System − 14 System 14.1 Registering and deregistering handsets Further information on the use of several handsets is provided in Chapter 15. − Several Base Stations − 16.3 Increasing the range The range of the handset can be increased by placing additional base stations in specific areas of the building or workplace (refer to Diagram II). 1. Obstacles in buildings, such as walls and ceilings, can restrict the range considerably. 2.
