Note: When the handset rings, the ringing tone of the handset can
be switched off for this incoming call. To do this, press the
C
button.
5.4 Taking two calls
You will hear acoustic signals (call waiting) if a second call is received
while you are carrying out a telephone conversation. The number of the
second caller appears in the display. Press the
A and 2 buttons in
succession to switch between the two callers. One caller is put on hold
while you c onverse with the other.
Note: In order to use the added value services provided by
DEUTSCHE TELEKOM, the Flash time setting 300 ms mu s t
be selected (refer to Chapter 9.2.1).
Caution: The caller number display and call waiting indication
is an optional service offered by the telephone network provi-
der. The caller number appears in the display if the service is
offered by your telephone network provider. Contact your net-
work provider for further information.
5.5 Making a call
1. Enter the phone number to be called
(max. 20 digits) using the digit keypad.
Since the display can only show a
maximum of 12 digits, only the last 12
digits are displayed in the case of longer
phone numbers.
Note: If you enter an incorrect number, press the
I button as often
as necessary to continuously delete the last digit in the phone
number.
2. Press the Call button
A and the required connection is
established.
Note: It is also possible to press the Call button
A first to obtain an
outside line. In the case of private branch exchanges, it is
necessary to dial a specific number (e.g. “9” or “0”) in order to
obt ain the dialling tone for an outside line (refer to Chapter 8
