4.1 Safety notes
Caution: It is essential to read the General Information at the beginning of
this manual before starting up.
4.2 Checking the package contents
The package contains:
a base s tation with power adapter plug
a telephone connection cable
a charging station with power adapter
plug
four standard batteries
two handsets an operating manual
4.3 Connecting the base station
Position the base station within reach of the telephone line socket and a power outlet.
1. Plug the connector at one end of the power cable in the socket marked

on the under side of the base station and the power adapter plug in a
properly installed 230 Volt mains power outlet. The power adapter plug from
the base station must remain connected at all times. For safety reasons,
only use the power adapter plug supplied.
Note: Acces to the power adapter plug must not be obstructed by furniture or
such like.
2. Connect the telephone connection cable enclosed to the telephone line
socket F and the telephone socket
> on the under side of the base
station. Only use the telephone connection cable supplied.
3. Lay the two cables under the base station footpads, through the clamp
towards the rear.
Note: The two plugs must audibly engage in the telephone sockets to ensure they
do not slip out later.
4.4 Connecting the charging station
Place the charging station for the second handset in the vicinity of a power outlet.
Plug the power adapter plug in a properly installed 230 Volt mains power outlet.
Note: Acces to the power adapter plug must not be obstructed by furniture or
such like.
