8 Special functions
All further programming functions can be accessed by means of a very user-friendly menu.
Here are a few general instructions to help you find your way around the menu:
Programming is started by means of the
button.
You can find the required level using the and buttons.
This level is opened using the button.
In turn, you can find the required function using the and buttons and again confirm
with the menu button
.
You can go back one level each time by pressing the button.
Each save procedure will be cancelled automatically if no input is made within 30 seconds.
You can leave programming mode at any time without making any changes by pressing
and holding the
button.
You will find a complete overview of the menu in Chapter 8.5.
8.1 Setting the ring tones on the mobile unit and the base station
Different ring tones and corresponding volume levels can be set on your mobile unit and on
the base station. The mobile unit and the base station can respond with 9 different ring tones
when a call comes through. At the same time, there are 8 polyphone melodies available for
the mobile unit.
If at any time you do not want to be disturbed, you can also turn off the ring tone on the base
station or the mobile unit altogether.
1. Press the menu button .
2. Select the RINGER menu with and and confirm with .
3. Now select whether you want to change the ring tones on the HANDSET or on the
BASE station with and . Select and confirm with .
4. Now select whether you want to change the MELODY or the VOLUME with
and . Select and confirm with .
5. Select the required ring tone or volume with and and confirm with .
6. Now select further menu functions or exit the menu by pressing and holding the
button.
