p on the alarm unit.

Enter the phone number.

Result:
Press the
p button. The number of the relation,
friend or neighbour stored is dialled.
Speak to the person contacted through the micro -
phone. You can then hear the caller through the
loudspeaker in the alarm unit.
R Entering the number of an exchange

Enter the phone number.

Result:
Press the
q button. The number stored is dialled.
The special services exchange notifies listed per-
sons or sends one of the special services to provide
help, as necessary.
Note: Ther e are several appropri at e special service call
numbers avail abl e, such as the Red Cross, St. John’ s
Ambulance Brigade etc. Enquire at your community
servi ces or use the unit as a privat e alar m unit withi n
your family, circle of fri ends or neighbour s.
Please note that alarm call s are not fr ee of charge. The
costs for usi ng the special ser vi ces are not incl uded in
the purchase pri ce of the tel ephone.

Result:
This function activates a telephone self-test routine.
In addition to entering a phone number, a time inter-
val can also be defined.
Refer to U: “Defining the self-test cycle”
When the time interval has elapsed, the system calls
the phone number thus signalling to the person as-
signed the number that the system is operating cor-
rectly. If this call does not come regularly, either the
battery is empty or the telephone system is not work -
ing properly.
