8.4 Recording Notes
You can leave messages on your answering machine for other people who use it,
e.g. your family. These messages can be listened to later.
Programming steps Indication in the display
1. Press the button. If
messages have already been
recorded these will be played
back first. Playback will be
interrupted as soon as further
entries are made.
The display shows the number of
messages recorded on the right as
well as the current day of the week as
a number and the current time of day.
2. Press the buttons (e) and (c) one after the other.
3. Start dictating your message after the signal tone.
4. When you have finished dictating your message, press the (i)
button.
5. Exit the answering machine with the button.
8.5 Remote access
8.5.1 The remote access PIN code
Your answering machine has a personal access code so that only you can listen to
the incoming messages via the remote access facility. The PIN code is a four digit
number and is pre-programmed to 1 1 1 1. You can find out how to change the
pre-set PIN code in Chapter 9.1 Answering machine settings.
8.5.2 Toll-free remote pre-access
Using the toll-free remote pre-access facility, you can find out whether there are
any messages on your answering machine without incurring any charges. You can
find out how to activate the toll-free remote pre-access in Chapter 9.1 "Answering
machine settingsā€œ.
