9.7 Switching the key tone and warning tones on/off
Various tones can be switched on or off.
S Key tone
A tone is issued each time a button on the handset is pressed.
S Low battery" warning signal
If the battery capacity is too low, a warning signal is issued to
remind you to charge the handset.
S Out range" warning signal
This acoustic warning signal is issued when the handset is
moved too far from the base station.
1. Press Æ and use the , button to select menu option
HANDSET".
2. Confirm by pressing the Æ button. BEEP" appears in the
display.
3. Press the Æ button to confirm and use the + or , button to
select the OUT RANGE", KEY TONE" or LOW BATTERY"
options.
4. Press Æ to confirm the selection and use the + or , button
to select the option ON" or OFF".
5. Confirm by pressing the Æ button.
9.8 Setting the handset volume
The ringing volume can be set to a number of levels or switched off
completely. If the ringing tone is switched off, incoming calls are indicated
by the base station and in the handset display.
Internal and external calls can be assigned different ringing volumes.
1. Press Æ and use the , button to select menu option
HANDSET".
2. Confirm by pressing Æ and use the , button to select the
menu option INT RING VOL" or EXT RING VOL".
3. Press Æ to confirm the selection and use the + or , button
to select the required volume.
4. Confirm by pressing the Æ button.
