9.6 Restoring the default settings

This function resets the handset and base station settings to their default

status on leaving the factory.

Default settings:

Language: German

Name of handset: 5400 TECH

Battery warning signal: On Automatic answer: On

Range warning signal: On External ringing melody: 3

Key tone: On Internal ringing melody: 1

Receiver volume: 3 Ringing volume, handset: 3

PIN: 0000 Ringing melody, base station: 2

Pause: 3 seconds Ringing volume, base station: 3

Dialling method: DTMF/Tone Recall (Flash) time: 100 ms

Note The phone book, calls list (CLIP) and all phone numbers in the

redialling list are deleted.

1. Press Æ and use the , button to select menu option

SETUP".

2. Press Æ to confirm the selection and then press the , button

to select menu option DEFAULT".

3. Confirm the selection by pressing the Æ button and enter the

four−digit PIN (default setting "0000").

4. Confirm by pressing the Æ button twice.

The telephone is then reset to its default settings.
