5. Connect the telephone connection cable supplied in the
telephone line socket.
4.4 Connecting the charging station
Place the charging station for the second handset in the vicinity of a power
outlet. Plug the power adapter plug in a properly installed 230 Volt power
outlet.
Note Access to the power adapter plug must not be blocked by
furniture or other obstacles.
4.5 Setting the time on the charging station
You will find the three function buttons UP", SET" and MODE" for setting
the time underneath the charging station. The clock basically works using
the 24−hour format. You can find out how to change the clock to the
12−hour format in this chapter.
You can find out how to set the alarm under 4.6.
1. Press the MODE" button twice.
2. Now set the required hour by repeatedly pressing the UP"
button and confirm with SET".
3. Now set the required minutes by repeatedly pressing the UP"
button and confirm with SET".
4. Press the MODE" button twice and you will return to the normal
display.
Note If you are using the clock in 12−hour format, make the following
setting according to Item 3 and then continue with Item 4.
Now set the AM" indicator for morning or PM" indicator for
afternoon by repeatedly pressing the UP" button and confirm
with SET".
S The time must be reset following a supply failure.
S If you keep the UP" button pressed for longer than one minute,
the numbers in the display will change continuously.
S The input mode will be interrupted if there is a pause of more
than 30 seconds while making an input.
