5.5.2.4 Keypad Features
The Keypad Features screen (applicable only to FXS gateways) enables you to activate /
deactivate the following features directly from the connected telephone’s keypad:
Hotline (refer to Section 5.5.9.2 on page 120).
Caller ID Restriction (refer to Section 5.5.9.3 on page 121).
Call Forward (refer to Section 5.5.9.4 on page 122).

To configure the keypad features, take these 4 steps:
1. Open the ‘Keypad Features’ screen (Protocol Management menu > Advanced
Parameters submenu > Keypad Features option); the ‘Keypad Features’ screen is
displayed.

2. Configure the Keypad Features according to Table 5-12.
3. Click the Submit button to save your changes.
4. To save the changes so they are available after a power fail, refer to Section 5.10.2 on
page 205.
Notes:
The method used by the gateway to collect dialed numbers is
identical to the method used during a regular call (i.e., max digits,
interdigit timeout, digit map, etc.).
The activation of each feature remains in effect until it is deactivated
(i.e., it is not per call).
