4.1.3 Connecting the MediaPack to the Network
After you have configured the MediaPack's IP address so that it's in the same subnet as
your network, you can connect the MediaPack to your network and then start working with
your device (e.g., perform advanced configuration).
¾ To connect the MediaPack to the network:
1. Disconnect your PC from the MediaPack.
2. Reconnect the MediaPack and your PC (if necessary) to the LAN.
3. Connect the WAN interface (port labeled WAN) to your WAN network, using a
standard Ethernet straight-through cable.
4. Restore your PC’s IP address and subnet mask to their original settings. If necessary,
restart your PC and re-access the MediaPack via the Embedded Web Server with its
newly assigned IP address.
