User's Manual 3. Getting Started

 To enter a symbol (e.g., period /full stop):
1. First select alphabet mode lower case letters, i.e., abc, as described above (mandatory).
2. Press the 1 key on the keypad; a semi-colon is entered. Immediately press it again; a colon
is entered. Pressing successively produces:
 ; (semi-colon)
 : (colon)
 . (period)
 @ (at)
 # (pound)
 $ (dollar)
 % (percentage)
 ^ (caret)
 & (ampersand)
 + (plus)
 - (minus))
 _ (underscore)
Note that the asterisk (*) symbol is entered directly using the star key.
