6.7.7 Activating Port Mirroring
Port mirroring facilitates network traffic monitoring enabling administrators to analyze and
debug data or diagnose errors on a network, manage network performance and be alerted
to problems.
Inbound or outbound traffic (or both) can be mirrored on single or multiple interfaces.
Port mirroring can be activated using the Web interface or the configuration file.
To configure port mirroring:
Using the Web interface:
1. Access the Recording page (Configuration tab > Network Connections menu >
Network Settings).

2. Configure using the table below as reference and click Submit.
Using the configuration file:

Enables port mirroring.
[0] Disable (default) - The LAN/PC Network
interfaces operate in SWITCH mode.
[1] Enable - The LAN/PC Network interfaces
operate in HUB mode. The network traffic on the
LAN port is reflected in the PC port.
