6.9 Muting Calls
The phone allows you to mute the phone’s microphone (of the handset, headset, and
speakerphone) during a call so that the other party cannot hear you. While a call is muted, you
can still hear the other party but the other party cannot hear you. Muting calls can also be used
during conference calls.
 To mute and unmute a call:
1. During a call, press the MUTE key; the call is muted and the “Mute” message is displayed:
2. To resume the conversation, press the MUTE key again; the call is unmuted and the other
party can now hear you:
