The AccuBASS™ Circuit (patent pending)
Factory sound systems have weak subwoofers and amplifiers contributing to poor
bass response. To protect woofers from distorting (or worse…being blown), car
manufacturers often limit the bass frequencies produced at higher volumes. This
robs you of the bass that was supposed to be in the music. Some have tried to
compensate with a “reverse loudness”, but that results in a soft, muddled sound. AudioControl devel-
oped the patent pending AccuBASS™ circuit to do the job right. The AccuBASS™ circuit automati-
cally engages at a preset volume level and reverses the factory roll-off to give you the bass the music
was designed to have. Rock solid bass in just the right amount. Bonus time: If your system needs a
little more bottom end, use the AccuBASS™ circuit to do that as well.
Why You Need Equalization
It’s a plain simple fact! Every system sounds different in every car. If your system will sound differ-
ent in every car, how do you get it to sound it’s very best in your car? Equalization is the answer. To
sound it’s very best, a sound system must be matched to the environment. In home theater they call it
calibration. In car audio they call it tuning. The LCQ-1’s independent front, rear, and sub equalizers
allow you to tune the signal for optimum performance in your car. Your system tuned to your taste in
your car. Now, that’s how you make better sound.
Why do AudioControl Line Output Converters work so well?
AudioControl line output converters were designed to give you flat-out better sound than other pas-
sive drivers. The LCQ-1 has active, high voltage, high-impedance (20K Ohms!!) speaker-level inputs
that accepts signals from high power, factory installed amplifiers. This means the AudioControl
LCQ-1 will work with factory-installed audio systems and give you a higher-quality signal with lower
noise, lower distortion, and higher output voltage. Unlike inexpensive passive speaker level convert-
ers, the LCQ-1 gives you the amazing sound quality that AudioControl has been providing for over
30 years.
