Audi S8 The art of using power intelligently. The new Audi S8 does not just impress with its dynamics. It embodies our goal in an inimitable manner: always achieve more. More comfort. More performance. More efficiency. This philosophy creates one of the sportiest luxury saloons of our time: the new Audi S8. The fuel consumption and CO₂ emission figures can be found on page 50.
Audi S8 More important than concentrated power: utilising it at the right moment. Performance does not necessarily require higher consumption – as the engine of the new Audi S8 proves. With the innovative Audi cylinder on demand, it only utilises the concentrated power of all eight cylinders when it is actually required. In the event of low driving resistance, four of the eight cylinders automatically switch off.
Audi S8 From 0 to 100 in just 4.2 seconds – due to a powerful engine and a unique lightweight construction: the Audi Space Frame can be found underneath the optional crystal effect paint finish in Prisma silver, an intelligent and superior light aluminium structure that enables even sportier handling. Additional top-level driving dynamics are ensured by the permanent quattro® all-wheel drive with sports differential that provides the Audi S8 with a high traction on almost any surface.
Audi S8 11 Luxurious sportiness – the suspension. With Audi drive select in the Audi S8 five modes are available to you. You can choose between a particularly comfortable driving style, an automatic setting that keeps comfort and dynamics in balance, a distinctively sporty and a consumption-optimised mode. The fifth option, individual, offers even more settings to adapt the vehicle’s character to your mood – with a just a push of a button.
Audi S8 Pure sportiness is revealed not only in the S8’s handling but also in its visual appeal. The newly designed S8 Singleframe in Platinum grey with dual struts in chrome defines the sporty front-end. The side air inlets in S-look are offered in black highly polished and equipped with a transverse brace in aluminium look. The exterior mirrors and wide bumpers with a blade in aluminium look perfectly match the appearance of the classy athlete.
Audi S8 Powerful take-off, relaxed cruising – or both. A concentrated atmosphere reigns in the interior. From the leather-covered multifunction sports steering wheel with contrasting seams to the S emblem: each element embodies luxurious sportiness and comfort at the same time. The grey instrument cluster with white needles and the shift paddles and pedals in aluminium look are only a few examples. The inlays and the selector lever in Carbon Atlas lend an exclusive touch of quality to the interior.
Audi S8 Firm lateral support and impressively comfortable: the standard comfort sports seat in S design in Valcona leather, Lunar silver, with diamond-patterned stitching. Seams, piping and accordion pleats have been designed in the contrasting colour Steel grey – exclusively for the Audi S8. The seat is electrically adjustable in length, height and angle multiple times, allowing you to always enjoy your preferred seat position.

It ensures that during partial load operation, only four of eight cylinders are used – without you noticing the difference.
quattro® with sports differential With quattro®, we have invented one of the best all-wheel drive systems in the world. Of course, that was not enough for us. quattro® is a permanent all-wheel drive system. If the wheels on one axle of the vehicle lose grip on the road and threaten to spin, then the power is transferred to the other axle – automatically and permanently distributed through the centre differential.
quattro® with sports differential continuously varies the amount of driving force distributed to each rear wheel and ensures high cornering agility and impressive driving dynamics.
Suspension/ceramic brakes Fully load-bearing air springs on the front and rear axles of the vehicle provide a sporty and comfortable driving feel. Dynamics and comfort were once opposites. We’ve made the differences vanish into thin air. Each road is different. So it’s good when, despite that, you notice no difference. How does that work? In the Audi S8, the chassis adapts to many driving situations and to the road surface as standard. We call it adaptive air suspension.
The almost infinitely variable damping adjusts itself automatically to every driving situation in fractions of a second. Even with asymmetrically distributed loads, the vehicle remains in a level position thanks to continuous rideheight regulation. 19-inch ceramic brake: the brake discs on the front axle have a diameter of 400 mm. The highsheen anthracite painted brake callipers have the “Audi ceramic” logo.
LED headlights LED headlights Subject: Light <300 °C Conventional light bulbs reach temperatures of up to 300 °C. Due to their sophisticated technology, LED lights are somewhat more sensitive and should not get hotter than 150 °C. Because of the engine, the temperature of the area around the headlights is already around 120 °C. In theory, then, LED headlights would need an additional cooling system to be able to work.

MMI® – Multi Media Interface Phone: The optional fitting for mobile phone (Bluetooth) or the Bluetooth car phone online have a menu screen with call lists, address book and selection interface as the initial setting. MMI® touch: You can “write” with your finger on the MMI touch. The system recognises letters and numbers. It can be used for navigation and for your phone. In jukebox mode, you can also thumb through the albums of your music collection with a brief stroke of the finger.
Audi connect Audi connect: Traffic information online You not only get the right route to your destination but the quickest one too. In addition to traffic flow information, traffic information online provides faster information on the formation and dissolution of traffic jams for dynamic route guidance as well as greater coverage of the road network. Audi connect: Travel information/weather provides weather forecasts and relevant information, such as charts and weather maps relating to the destination.
