for covering the entire luggage compartment even
when the rear seat backrest is folded down. Velour on

Hood compartment, variable
with lowering hood tray which lowers automatically
when the hood is opened if sufficient room is available
in the luggage compartment. For loading, the hood
tray can be lifted when the hood is closed
Trailer towing hitch
removable and lockable, with sphere bar and ball head
made from forged steel. The 13-pin socket can be
swivelled out of sight behind the bumper skirt. When
removed, the trailer towing hitch can be stored in the
spare wheel well. Trailer stabilisation via the Electronic
Stabilisation Control (ESC)
Exterior mirrors with integrated LED indicators

The automatic kerb-side function tilts the exterior
mirror on the passenger side downwards when reverse
gear is engaged, giving the driver a better view of the
kerb.

Anti-theft alarm
monitors doors, bonnet and luggage compartment lid
and interior. Interior monitoring system which can be
switched off and signal horn which is independent of
the vehicle electrical system. With tow-away protection

Airbags
Full-size airbags for driver and front passenger and
knee airbag on the driver side. Includes front-
passenger airbag deactivation switch in conjunction
with ISOFIX child seat mounting
Side airbags, front, and head airbag system
protects front and outer rear seats in the event of
a side impact. Front side airbags integrated into the
seat backrests and, for A3 Saloon/S3 Saloon, an
additional head airbag system that unfolds over the
entire length of the side windows. For A3 Saloon/
S3 Saloon optionally available with side airbags for
the rear
Integrated head restraint system
increases safety and reduces the danger of whiplash.
In the event of a rear-end collision, the design of the
front seat better restrains the upper torso and provides
stronger support for the head than conventional
systems.
Active roll-over protection
protects passengers in the back by means of an
automatically triggered protective system behind the
rear head restraints
ISOFIX child seat mounting for the
front-passenger seat
with front-passenger airbag deactivation switch.
For A3 Saloon and S3 Saloon with electric child-proof
lock for the rear doors
ISOFIX child seat mounting and Top Tether for
the outer rear seats
standard mounting for practical attachment of
ISOFIX child seats. Including additional attachment
point (Top Tether). Recommended child seats can
be obtained from your Audi partner.
