impressive sound thanks to 6-channel amplifier with
a total output of 180 watts and 10 loudspeakers
including a centre speaker, in the A3 Sedan/S3 Sedan
including subwoofer
Audi music interface
Portable media players² such as Apple iPod, Apple
iPhone (music functionality) as well as USB storage
media and MP3 players may be connected with
special
adapter cables available from Audi Genuine
Accessories. It is located in the centre console;
operated via MMI or a multifunction leather steering
wheel (if ordered) (in A3 Sedan/S3 Sedan including
voice control). (Part of connectivity package and MMI
navigation plus with MMI touch)
Adapter cable set for Audi music interface
consisting of 2 connecting cables to connect Apple
iPod/iPhone with dock connection (e.g. iPhone 4) as
well as data storage devices/media players² with USB
port (type A); other adapter cables are available from

Adapter cable set plus for Audi music interface
In addition to the adapter cable set for Audi music
interface, the display of cover art and video functions
is possible as an additional function in conjunction
with Apple iPhone and more recent generations of
Apple iPod² – depending on the device used.

of a slide show (e.g. cover, weather); in conjunction
with MMI navigation plus with MMI touch, a 2nd DAB
tuner continuously searches for alternative reception
frequencies of the set radio station; at the same time
the station list is updated

continuous adaptation of the sound to driving and
background noises determined by microphone;
for optimum compensation of noise even with the
hood open

Communication
Audi connect
convenient connection of your vehicle to the internet
for the use of Audi connect via an integrated data
module with LTE³/UMTS support. There is a reader for
your SIM card in the surround of the MMI navigation
plus with MMI touch.
The following services supported by Audi connect are

Use of the services supported by Audi connect is
possible only with the optional MMI navigation plus
with MMI touch equipment and Audi connect. You
also require a SIM card with data option and with LTE
option³ to use LTE. The services are available only with
an existing or separate mobile phone contract and
only within the range of the respective mobile phone
network. Additional costs may be incurred when
receiving data packets from the internet, depending
on the terms of your mobile phone contract,
particularly when used abroad. Because of the high
data volumes involved, a data flat rate is strongly
recommended. The availability of the services
supported by Audi connect varies from country to
country. The Audi connect services are provided for at
least one year
from vehicle delivery. 24 months after
vehicle delivery, the Audi connect services will be
extended
free of charge once for 12
months. Ask your
Audi partner about a subsequent extension of
the
Audi connect services. Depending on
the vehicle
model, Audi connect enables access to Facebook,
Google and Twitter
services. Permanent availability
cannot be guaranteed, Facebook, Google and Twitter
are responsible for this.

Bluetooth interface
allows hands-free calls to be made in the vehicle using
the microphone and – depending on the mobile phone
compatibility⁵ – Bluetooth audio streaming. Bluetooth-
compatible mobile phones can be connected to the
vehicle via the interface.
Audi phone box⁵
allows phone calls with improved reception quality
and charging by inserting mobile phone into the front
centre console compartment; hands-free facility and,
for A3 Sedan/S3 Sedan, voice control (telephone);
low
SAR radiation inside the vehicle thanks to connection
to vehicle aerial; operated via radio/
navigation
systems or multifunction leather steering
wheel
