The fuel is transferred to the engine by a high-
performance fuel pump with a pressure
increase from 3 to 4 bar.
In the event of a crash, the fuel pump is swit-
ched off by the fuel pump relay.
A single-stage fuel pump is used in vehicles
with front-wheel drive.
