method also uses less individual parts.
A comparable body design could not be
achieved with steel (weight).
The lower A-pillar
Due to the high safety requirements the
A-pillar is a multi-chamber profile.
In the lower area it connects the wheel
housing, longitudinal member arm, door sill
and floor assembly.

Windscreen cross-piece, scuttle
The windscreen cross-piece is a curved
extruded profile that joins the two A-pillars.
It also serves as a support for the windscreen.
