characteristics, and adaptive air suspension; modes

Dynamic steering
when cornering and changing lanes or parking, for
example, this system improves comfort and handling
by dynamically regulating steering according to the
driving situation. In addition to adaptation of the
steering effort, the steering angle is also adapted
(steering ratio). In addition, the system is supported
by vehicle stabilisation through ESC; for the S8 with

adaptive air suspension
electronically controlled air suspension with infinitely
variable adaptive damping system on all four wheels;
automatically regulates vehicle ride height and
damping; includes ride height control and manual lift
function; different modes selected via Audi drive

sport suspension based on the standard-fitted
adaptive air suspension; stiffer damping, depending
on mode, vehicle ride height has been lowered by up
to 10 mm compared with adaptive air suspension;

Integrated head restraint system
In the event of a rear-end collision, the design of
the seat restrains the upper torso and supports the
head at an early stage, thereby increasing safety
and reducing the danger of whiplash.

3-point inertia reel seat belts with reversible seat belt
tensioners, adaptive belt force limiters and belt height
adjustment/belt buckle status query at front; seat belt
reminder for driver and front-passenger seats with
acoustic and visual warning signal
