Radio and TV systems
BOSE surround sound
surround sound reproduction with 14 loudspeakers,
including centre speaker and subwoofer, 12-channel
amplifier with total output of over 600 watts;
AudioPilot® for noise-dependent volume adjustment;
5.1 surround sound reproduction is possible; the
Acoustic Wave loudspeaker technology of the woofers
in both front doors enables powerful and accurate
bass reproduction.
Audi sound system
10 speakers including centre speaker in the dashboard
and subwoofer in the parcel shelf, 6-channel amplifier
with a total output of 180 watts
Radio
can be operated via MMI or leather-covered multifunction
steering wheel; triple tuner with phase diversity for
improved sound and reception; dynamic station list;
TP memo function whilst driving; single DVD drive,
2 SDHC memory card readers and juke-box with
20 GB storage capacity, support each audio (MP3,
WMA, AAC) and video formats (MPEG-1, 2, 4, WMV,
Xvid, as well as playlist-compatible). Music and video
files can be copied to and played from the integrated
hard drive; copy-protected music files (DRM) cannot
be played.
Digital Audio Broadcasting
In addition to the range of analogue stations,
programmes from digitally broadcast radio stations
with better sound quality can be received according
to DAB standard, including DAB+ and DMB audio.
Display of additional information accompanying the
programme (e.g. artist, title and cover) in the form of
a slide show and other programme-independent data
services (e.g. weather, traffic and news). The 2

DAB
tuner permanently searches for alternative reception
frequencies of the set station, and the station list is
updated at the same time. Please note: reception
depends on local digital network availability; contents
and scope of the additional information depend on
provision by the respective radio section.
TV reception
reception of digitally-broadcast (DVB-T) uncoded
television stations (MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 standard),
DVB-T audio stations, teletext and Electronic
Programme Guide (EPG). External AV-IN connection
via adapter cable (available through Audi Genuine
Accessories). Please note: TV reception depends on
digital network availability; no picture possible when
the vehicle is moving
DVD/CD changer
can be operated via MMI or leather-covered multifunction
steering wheel; in glove compartment, for 6 DVDs or
CDs; supports e.g. audio CDs, video DVDs and MP3,
WMA, AAC, MPEG-4 and playlists; supports up to
4,000 tracks per medium; shock-resistant; DVDs and
CDs can be changed individually; fast forward and
rewind possible, as well as random playback. Files with
digital rights management (DRM) cannot be played.
Audi music interface
part of MMI navigation plus with MMI touch for
connecting portable media players, such as generation
4 and higher Apple iPods, Apple iPhone (music
functionality), as well as USB storage media and MP3
players. The Audi music interface is housed in the
centre console; it is operated via the MMI or the
leather-covered multifunction steering wheel.
Note: can only be used in conjunction with a special
adapter cable (available from Audi Genuine Accessories).
