noise when the sunroof is extended or fully opened; includes vanity mirrors and additional reading lights in the
rear; with light-coloured and Audi exclusive customised paint finishes, the surrounding roof is painted in black.
Solar slide-and-tilt sunroof
solar cells in the roof provide the power to generate a continuous flow of air to reduce passenger compartment
temperature when the vehicle is parked; operated like the slide-and-tilt glass sunroof, but has no infinitely adjustable
sun screen
Convenience key including sensor-controlled
release of the luggage compartment lid
Doors and luggage compartment lid can be opened
and locked without actuating the remote control key
carried: when the door handles or handle strip on the
luggage compartment lid are touched, they unlock
automatically. In addition, a foot gesture below the
rear bumper unlocks the luggage compartment lid and
automatically lets it swing open. The vehicle is locked
via a sensor button in the door handles or a button
on the remote control. All the door handles have a
decorative strip in aluminium look.

Doors that have not completely closed are pulled into
the lock automatically; includes electric child-proof
lock on the rear doors, operated via the child-proof
lock buttons in the driver’s door armrest

the luggage compartment lid handle recess or by a
foot gesture (kicking movement) in conjunction with

with a red ring with the S8; the engine is started and
switched off via the engine start-stop button in the
centre console; the key only needs to be carried with

module; can be used to open many garage doors and
exterior gates; allows control of security and lighting
systems; with programming assistance provided by
the MMI, code identification guidance and set-up
assistance from appropriate logbook information on

Anti-theft alarm
integrated into the engine control unit; automatically
activated by the vehicle key; monitors doors, bonnet,
luggage compartment lid and the interior: includes an
electronic immobiliser, ultrasonic interior monitoring
(can be deactivated) and signal horn independent
of the vehicle electrical system; with tow-away
protection via a vehicle angle of inclination sensor
(can be deactivated)
