Low range
In low range mode the hydraulic regulator is
fully retracted. The selector sleeve connects
the synchro-hub (sun gear) to the coupling
body 2 (fixed to housing) and thus holds the
sun gear in a fixed position. The drive torque
is then transmitted via the internal gear to the
planetary gears. The planetary gears drive the
planet carrier via the locked sun gear. A trans-
mission ratio of 1.54 is thus achieved.
