BOSE Surround Sound

surround sound reproduction with 14 loudspeakers

including a centre speaker in the dashboard and sub-

woofer in the spare wheel well. A particular design

highlight is the floating effect of the front loudspeak-

ers, created by indirect LED lighting, AudioPilot® for

noise-dependent volume adjustment, 10-channel am-

plifier with total output of 465 watts, powerful and

accurate bass reproduction, very lifelike sound with

natural tone and a feeling of space for an outstanding

sound experience, sound system superbly matched to

the interior acoustics of the vehicle. Reproduction of

5.1 Surround Sound is possible in conjunction with

MMI navigation plus. (Cannot be ordered in conjunc-

CD changer

in the glove compartment, for 6 CDs (MP3 and WMA-

compatible), vibration-proof, easily accessible; no

magazine, each CD can be loaded and changed individ-

ually, also supports the UDF ﬁ le system; copyprotect-

ed music ﬁ les (DRM) cannot be played. (Cannot be or-

dered in conjunction with chorus radio)

Connectivity package

Bluetooth interface (for connection of bluetooth-

capable mobile telephones), Audi music interface (for

connecting generation 4 and higher Apple iPods,

music functionality of Apple iPhones as well as USB

storage media and MP3 players), Bluetooth audio

streaming, navigation system fitting (navigation

function and map data available as retrofit solution

from Audi Genuine Accessories), additional SDHC card

reader (up to 32 GB). Note: In conjunction with the

Audi music interface, the separate AUX-IN connection

Bluetooth interface

Bluetooth-compatible mobile phones can be connected

to the vehicle via the interface. Hands-free calls are

possible in the vehicle via the microphone. (Cannot be

conjunction with driver information system)

Adapter cable set for Audi music interface

consisting of 2 connecting cables to connect iPod/

iPhone or data storage device/media player with USB

Bluetooth car phone online

your bluetooth-compatible mobile phone can be

conveniently connected to the vehicle’s internal

UMTS module (provided the mobile telephone has a

SIM Access proﬁ le); additional SIM card reader in the

MMINavigation plus fascia. Audi Online services allow

additional online services such as point of interest

search, navigation with help of Google Earth images,

convenient route planning and destination entry using

MyAudi or Google Maps, information services e.g.

weather and news, Audi traﬃ c information online with

traﬃ c ﬂ ow information for speciﬁ c street sections on

the navigation map, quick information on traﬃ c tie-up

development and resolution, greater coverage of the

road network (e.g. national and rural roadways), WiFi

hotspot for internet access for passengers in the rear

passenger compartment using a mobile end device

(e.g. laptop). Because of the high data volumes (cur-

rently concerns in particular navigation with the aid of

Google Earth images and WiFi hotspot), a mobile

phone contract including a data ﬂ at rate is strongly

recommended! Online services are only available for

mobile phone contracts including a data option and

only within the coverage of the mobile phone network;

they are only oﬀ ered in Europe (in Russia only in the

Moscow and St. Petersburg areas; not in Turkey,

Cyprus, Malta and Iceland); there will be additional

costs for the use of these services (charges and billing

correspond to the personal mobile phone contract);

Digital Audio Broadcasting reception (DAB)

receives programmes from digitally broadcast radio

stations to DAB standards in addition to the range of

analogue stations; in conjunction with MMI navigation

plus also receives DAB+ and DMB audio. With the

DABtwin tuner (only available in conjunction with

MMInavigation plus), a second DAB tuner continually

searches for alternative reception frequencies for the

selected radio station; at the same time the station

list is updated. Please note: reception depends on the

availability of local digital networks. (Cannot be or-

dered in conjunction with chorus radio)

Audi sound system

includes a hands-free facility and voice control for the

telephone functions and a ﬁ tting for an optional mo-

bile- speciﬁ c charger, includes a connection to the ve-

hicle aerial, operation via MMI navigation plus, concert

radio or the speech dialogue system; for adapters and

Assistance systems

Hill hold assist

after the foot brake has been pressed for a while with

the vehicle stationary, the brake pressure that is built

up is maintained for a short time after the brake is re-

leased; this automatic braking action makes hill starts

much easier and more comfortable

Parking system, rear

working within system limits it assists parking by indi-

cating acoustically how far away the vehicle is from an

obstacle; measurement via ultrasonic sensors con-

cealed discreetly in the bumper

Parking system plus

working within system limits it provides acoustic and

visual parking assistance for the front and rear with

screen display. (Cannot be ordered in conjunction with

chorus radio)

Cruise control

at speeds of 30 km/h and above, the system keeps the

set speed constant, provided that engine power and

engine braking eﬀ ect permit it; operated via separate

steering column stalk, set speed displayed in the driv-

er information system

Suspension/brakes

Dynamic suspension

providing outstanding handling and exceptional com-

fort with McPherson front axle; the compound link

rear suspension with redesigned guide bearings en-

sures precise cornering and excellent directional sta-

bility

Sports suspension

with stiffer spring and damper settings for more direct

Electronic Differential Lock (EDL)

On surfaces with varying levels of grip, this start-off

assistant automatically brakes the drive wheels on the

surface that is too slippery, thereby ensuring smooth,

powerful progress

ESP with electronic differential lock

The Electronic Stabilisation Programme ESP provides

improved stability in certain driving situations by using

targeted braking of each individual wheel together

with intervention in the engine management system;

with hydraulic brake assist. The electronic differential

lock function distributes the drive torque by means of

targeted braking actions, depending on the driving sit-

uation. The differential lock actively countersteers in

corners. The result is improved traction and dynamic

performance when cornering and more precise han-

dling. In addition, steering agility is improved
