True greatness also shows in the details: The Audi
A1 can compete with the luxury segment as far
as its optional multimedia range is concerned. The
MMI® navigation plus, in particular, leaves hardly
anything to be desired.
Both the 6.5-inch TFT colour display and the
concert radio are located above the control unit
on the dashboard. So you always have a range of
data in full view. Select your destination from a
choice of three alternative routes displayed as
3D maps. The topographical colouring makes the
route even clearer. In addition, a variety of points
of interests or other locations you require, such
as restaurants or petrol stations, can be shown.
Another special feature: when combined with
Bluetooth car phone online, your Bluetooth-
compatible mobile phone with SIM Access Profile
can be connected to the vehicle’s internal UMTS
module. You can call up Google Earth satellite
maps¹ in the MMI navigation plus and the WiFi
hotspot allows you to connect your WiFi-com-
patible device easily with the internet².
The system can be operated via the MMI or
speech dialogue system.

And then a couple more.
Bluetooth: The optional mobile phone fitting
(Bluetooth) can be used as a hands-free
facility. The system automatically detects de-
vices which are connected and transfers your
address book or settings.
Car: For concert radio and above, this function
allows the direct control of driver assistance
systems, vehicle settings and service.
MMI navigation system plus: The optional in-
fotainment system offers 3D map view and a
three-dimensional display of famous buildings
and places of interest as well as 20GB of hard
drive memory to save your own music.
Media: access to external sources or to the MMI
Navigation plus jukebox is controlled via this
menu.

The optional navigation package for the con-
cert radio includes the content of the connec-
tivity package and a 2D navigation system.
Bluetooth car phone online: a connection to online-based services can be created via the vehi-
cle’s internal UMTS module using the optional Bluetooth car phone online.
Menu: The layout of the menu, with its empha-
sis on graphics, is very clear and makes opera-
tion easier.
