MMI® and navigation systems
Driver information system
part of MMI radio plus and MMI navigation, with white
5-inch TFT monochrome display located directly in
driver’s field of vision, displays the radio frequency,
station name or track title and other data from the
MMI system such as navigation, GPS clock or
telephone menu (if fitted), display of trip computer
with long and short term memory, including a graphic
consumption display, digital speedometer, door/
tailgate open warning indicator. The integrated
efficiency program provides assistance in the form of
consumption data overviews, a display of additional
consumers and fuel-saving tips for a more economical
driving style; operated via a leather-covered
multifunction steering wheel, incl. attention assist
Vehicle support based on navigation data
network technology thanks to Audi connect. Part of
MMI Navigation plus with MMI touch; adaptation of
transmission, light and – if installed – adaptive cruise
control with Stop&Go function or adaptive light using
route data stored in the navigation system such as the
sweep of bends and corners or road classifications,
e.g. use of vehicle lighting according to surroundings
(urban area, non-urban areas, motorways and
intersections); system also available when navigation
is deactivated
MMI® radio
integrated operating concept, consisting of MMI
terminal (control panel) and electrically extending
MMI terminal (6.5-inch colour display in the
dashboard), radio with phase diversity, CD player
(MP3 and WMA-capable), 8 passive loudspeakers
at front and rear, total output 80 watts

2 SDHC memory card readers (up to 32 GB), including

telephone numbers with acoustic acknowledgement,
simple movement of navigation map and selection of
points of interest; retrieval of 6 freely assignable radio
station presets
MMI® navigation plus with MMI touch
including navigation data (hard drive), high-resolution
8-inch TFT display with high-quality map display and
topographical map colouring, display of lots of
sightseeing information and city models in 3D, choice
of 3 alternative routes according to route settings
(fast/short/economical), scrolling along the route and
manoeuvring within the map, spoken TMCpro reports,
split-screen route information (manoeuvring points,
points of interest on motorways, TMCpro on route),
detailed junction map, motorway exits and lane
recommendations also in driver information system,
dynamic route guidance with TMCpro (where
available), vehicle support and speed limit display
based on navigation data function, destinations can
also be entered via the voice control system (whole-
word entry of address in one sentence) or the MMI
touch; including MMI Radio plus, driver information
system with 7-inch colour display and MP3, WMA, AAC
and MPEG-4-compatible DVD player; hard drive can
also be used to store music (20 GB); for S7 Sportback
with quattro logic buttons in aluminium optic in MMI
control panel. The use of Audi connect services (e.g.
navigation by means of Google Earth images and
Street View, weather and news, Audi traffic
information online*) is possible in combination with
Bluetooth car phone online.
